Tell us about your career and what you do now.
I serve as the Lead Pastor at First Assembly of God in North Little Rock, Arkansas, and Vice President of Project Rescue, a ministry dedicated to rescuing and restoring survivors of sexual exploitation. My role involves teaching, leading a large multi-campus team, and developing strategies for national and global ministry impact. In addition, I serve as the Gulf Region Executive Presbyter on the Executive Presbytery of the Assemblies of God.
Tell us one achievement or accomplishment that stands out in your career!
I was part of the original Live Dead leadership team. It’s exciting to see what began in East Africa now impacting the world.
What is your favorite memory from your time as a student?
In addition to being a student, I’ve had the opportunity to teach a couple classes. I enjoy interacting with students and building relationships!
How did your school help you identify/develop your calling?
I didn’t work on my masters until later in life and ministry. My education didn’t identify or develop my calling, but it did help qualify that calling. I believe in higher education. We now have fourteen team members who have master’s degrees from AGTS.
What advice would you give a current student preparing for the workforce?
Work harder than you’re paid to. Show up early, stay late, and do the small things with excellence. Character, consistency, and teachability will take you further than talent alone.
What would you look for if you were in a position to hire new graduates from Evangel?
I look for graduates with a servant’s heart, a growth mindset, and the ability to communicate clearly and lead with both conviction and compassion. Passion is great—but humility and follow-through are essential.
