Tell us about your career and what you do now.

At the end of my first year, I accepted the music pastor position at Peace Chapel AG in Fair Grove, MO and continued through the summer between my junior and senior year. After that, my wife, Lindsey (Frost ’06), and I accepted the music pastor position at First AG in Russellville, AR. Later God called us to serve as lead pastors at First AG in Sheridan, AR, a church that needed revitalization. In just a year, God was faithful to restore health as well as numerical and financial stability. On the 52nd week of that year, as we celebrated all God had done, we announced our new appointment as the new district youth directors of Arkansas. It was a bittersweet moment. We are excited to begin our new journey on June 4.

What is your favorite memory from CBC?

Hands down, every Chapel service. I love the presence of God. That was a place that, day after day, I experienced the fullness of God’s power and presence.

How did CBC help you identify/develop your calling?

CBC helped me develop a stronger relationship with God. Out of that relationship, flowed direction, determination, and an obedience to follow Him in whatever direction He led.

How did your experience at CBC prepare you for life after graduation?

Developing relationships with people is key to the ministry. My experience at CBC helped me navigate through the awkward waters of creating and building relationships with people.

What advice would you give a current student preparing for the workforce?

Ministry is a marathon, not a sprint. No matter what you do or where you go, be faithful and when the journey is over, you’ll see that every turn of the journey had a purpose.

What would you look for if you were in a position to hire a new graduate?

I would look for an individual who is sold-out for Christ—a person who fully trusted that God would walk before them and with them every step of their journey.
