Tell us about your career and what you do now.

We have been blessed to work with great clients over the years who have become like family. Our main focus, with the families we partner with, is Retirement Income Planning. We also help with education savings, estate considerations, tax efficiency planning, wealth transfer strategies, and other specialized planning where needed. All aspects of our business are aligned to help us better understand and meet our clients’ unique goals and needs. Jeremy began his career with Edward Jones in 2008, and I joined the firm in 2011. We both serve clients all over the country.

What is your favorite memory from EU?

We have many great memories from EU, including Jeremy’s football career, my Opera and Jazz Band performances, serving as RA’s in the dorms, and the life-long friendships we developed while there. One of the best and most significant was meeting each other at EU!

How did EU help you identify or develop your calling?

We both knew upon enrolling at EU that we wanted to achieve something in life much greater than we could do on our own. Not having that totally defined yet, we began our college careers with open minds. Over the years, God brought clarity and vision to us both through our total experience at Evangel. Our amazing professors, school chaplain and counselors, resident directors, and other leaders at EU were all instrumental in helping shape that vision.

How did your experience at EU prepare you for life after graduation?

Life after graduation presented many new challenges and life events neither of us had faced yet, but the transformative time we spent at EU prepared us for those very events. With a common ground to start from, rooted solidly in our faith, we were able to approach big decisions with confidence.

What advice would you give a current student preparing for the workforce?

Come into the workforce today with an open mind and be ready to work hard! As you put in the hard work, God will bless you. The open mind attitude will allow you to see things differently than others and bring your faith into your everyday work, no matter what that work may be. In almost any career, we believe there is a place to serve and, by serving, you will be lifted up.

What would you look for if you were in a position to hire new graduates from EU?

We both agree that we would be looking for passion to help and love others. That may seem strange to say “love” in light of financial advice, but we believe that is exactly what sets us apart. Bringing passion to what you do each and every day will give you fulfillment and allow you to change the world!
