Dr. Tosh started teaching at Evangel in 1972. He is originally from Canada, and earned degrees from the University of Guelph (BA in Math) and the University of Alberta (MS in Algebra, PhD in Mathematical Statistics). He taught at Evangel from 1972 to 1975 and then returned to Canada to complete his PhD. After teaching in Canadian Universities for several years, he returned to Evangel in 1987 and has been here ever since. He is an ordained minister and pastored for several years. His daughter is a graduate of Evangel, and his oldest grandson has now graduated from Evangel as well. His areas of teaching include mathematics, physics, and computer science. His hobbies include racquetball, tennis, hiking, kayaking, and flying.
Ordained minister with the Assemblies of God since 1988. Member and past president of Kappa Mu Epsilon, a national mathematics honor society. I have refereed papers for the Journal of the American Statistical Association, the Canadian Journal of Statistics, The Pentagon, and SIAM Reviews.
