Eric Jackson

Dr. Eric Jackson joined the faculty of Evangel University and Southwest Baptist University in 2009. Eric earned his Doctor of Musical Arts degree at The University of Missouri – Kansas City, a Master of Music degree at Indiana University, and the Bachelor of Music degree from Missouri State University.

Eric is an active performer in the Springfield region as a member of the Springfield Symphony Orchestra, Springfield Regional Opera, and is a founding member of the Evangel University Brass Quintet. He also performs with community groups including local theaters, the Missouri Philharmonic, and area churches.

For more than a decade, Dr. Jackson has taught students of all ages and levels. His students often win awards, scholarships, and have continued their musical careers as students, educators, and performers.

Eric’s primary teachers include Donna Johnson, Lisa Casey, Myron Bloom, Ellen Campbell, and Martin Hackleman.
