Originally from Indiana, Matt was accepted into the prestigious Interlochen Center for the Arts Music Camp in Interlochen, Michagan. Matt graduated from Evangel University in 2001 with a Bachelor’s degree in Music. While at Evangel Matt began his professional career playing trombone in the Springfield area. After graduation, Matt became the Instrumental Director and School of Music coordinator at James River Assembly in Ozark, MO. From there, Matt worked for the Assemblies of God National Music Department providing resources to music pastors across the country. Matt is currently the manager/audio engineer of Music Precedent, Ltd., a music publishing company in Springfield. Here he has established himself as a published writer, arranger, audio engineer and producer. He continues to play trombone for the Drury Civic Orchestra and as an alternate for the Springfield Symphony. Matt has his Masters in Music Performance at Evangel. In 2009 he began teaching at Evangel University as adjunct faculty and is now full time as the Director of Bands. Matt also helps teach Technology courses for the Music Business and Technology degree.
