Ryan J. Hurn currently tours and records with The Texas Tenors. Prior credits include crooner Andy Williams, Ann-Margret, and the Les Brown Band of Renown. Additionally, he has backed Debbie Boone, Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Bros, Bill Medley (Righteous Bros.), and many other revered artists.

Ryan has toured extensively, nationally and internationally, including performances at Royal Albert Hall w/ Andy Williams and the BBC Orchestra, Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C., the Hilton (formerly the International Hotel), Sun Coast, and Bally’s casinos in Las Vegas, Foxwoods Casino, Turning Point Casino in Verona, NY, Golden Nugget (Atlantic City), and the PNC Bank Arena in Holmdel, NJ. Symphonic performances include Pittsburg, Nashville, Phoenix, Kansas City, Salt Lake City, San Antonio, Fresno, Plano, and The Desert Symphony in Palm Springs (w/ special guest David Hasselhoff), among many others.

Ryan is active in the recording industry, having recorded for The Texas Tenors, Andy Williams, Academy Award winner Shirley Jones, and on the Grammy nominated album ‘New Directions’ by the Lettermen (featuring the Les Brown Band of Renown). He maintains a presence in the field of music education, teaching privately and in group settings. He is a contributing writer for Drumhead magazine, maintains a drumming-based blog at www.ryanhurnmusic.blogspot.com, and is currently working on his first book.

Ryan previously lived in Dallas, TX, working as a freelance musician while studying and graduating Cum Laude from the University of North Texas with a B.A. in Music Performance. He spent four years under the tutelage of Ed Soph and, through the percussion studio, was able to experience private and group lessons from visiting drumming legends Peter Erskine, Keith Carlock, Ari Hoenig, Terri Lynne Carrington, and Clyde Stubblefield. He is performing artist for Vic Firth Drumsticks, Humes & Berg cases, and Remo Percussion.
