I am originally from North Carolina, and I moved to Springfield to attend Evangel. I have been here ever since! I graduated in 2010, and I taught Spanish and French in the International Baccalaureate program at Central High School for 8 years. During that time, I got my Masters in Communication at Drury, and I started teaching adjunct at Drury and Evangel. I left Central High School to work at the Rainbow Network, a nonprofit that works in Nicaragua. Now, I am the Spanish Marketing Coordinator at the AG National Offices, and I love that I can continue to teach French here at Evangel! My husband and I have been the youth pastors for 9 years at El Faro Assembly of God, a Hispanic church here in town. He is also a Spanish teacher at Parkview High School. Our daughter, Adelaide, is 3 years old, and she loves learning Spanish as well!

My husband and I love to travel and learn languages. I love spending time with my family, drinking coffee, hanging out with my friends (we even have designated guys’ and girls’ nights, and most of those friendships are ones formed at Evangel!), and also – dancing! I took ballet for years and was in a Christian ballet company in high school. I even was able to start a dance ministry team during my time here at Evangel! My husband is a musician and worship leader, so our family loves the arts and how God can minister through them.
