Enjoy a work out, participate in intramural sports events, and complete classes at the Mabee Student Fitness Center. Our facility is free and open to the entire student body, as well as faculty and staff members.
Services
The Mabee Student Fitness Center opened for student use in 1999. However, its story begins many years before its opening. In the 1980s, students created a “save for the future” fund with student fees. This fund was instrumental in the university later securing matching donations from the Mabee Foundation. The 28,000 sq. ft. center includes:
- two regulation basketball courts
- an elevated indoor running track
- two racquetball courts
- a room outfitted for Crossfit-style training
The mezzanine area is stocked to fit your health and fitness needs, including:
- free weights
- machine-based strength training equipment
- exercise bikes
- treadmills and more
Open Hours
Normal Hours*
Monday – Thursday: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Friday: 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Group classes are also offered each semester based on interest and instructor availability.
*Hours are subject to change during holidays, breaks, and summer.

After completing the Alumni Membership form, you can pay for your membership in one of three ways:
- In Person – Take payment to the Alumni Office in Riggs Hall on campus
- By Phone – Call 417.865.2815 x7333
- By Mail – Evangel University, ATTN: Alumni Office, 1111 N Glenstone Ave., Springfield, MO, 65802
Once your payment is received and processed, you will be able to pick up your Prox Card at the Public Safety Office in Riggs Hall between 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
