Certificate program beginning Fall 2020
Are you interested in the paralegal profession? This flexible certificate program will prepare you with the essential skills needed to quickly pursue a career in this field. You will develop a basic understanding of state and federal law, how to draft legal documents, how to assist in the civil litigation process, and how to conduct legal work in an ethical manner that is consistent with rules of professional conduct. Through coursework and study, you will also learn Biblical concepts that will be of great value as you pursue your professional career.
- Recognize the ethical considerations essential to the paralegal profession and the various legal fields that the profession serves.
- Be capable of performing essential clerical skills including letter writing, proofreading, and correct file management, including electronic filing.
