Evangel Harvest Fest

December 638, 2011 | Chase Replogle

This past Saturday night (Nov. 12), Evangel students once again gathered to celebrate HarvestFest, a decades-old tradition that proves to be a favorite of EU students year after year. For HarvestFest 2011, students had a chance to get their “Game On,” celebrating the classic HarvestFest tradition with a new twist – plenty of (friendly) game-focused competition.

“The show ran better than we could have anticipated,” Activities Board Director Stephanie Fuentes says. “We succeeded in creating a truly unique and unforgettable show and it’s great to know that the changes we made only added to the experience of HarvestFest. ‘Game On!’ was definitely a home run!”

Along with the always-funny skits, videos and entertaining band performances, students dressed up in fun game-related costumes and competed in trivia games and other events throughout the evening. HarvestFest is an event that is planned, produced and performed entirely by students every year.

“Harvest Fest – Game On was awesome,” Student Activities Director Christy Rowden says. “Students were incredibly creative with their costume choices and the talent on display was undeniable. It was a great night of EU entertainment!”

With another successful HarvestFest now complete, the Student Activities Board is already looking forward to putting together a great event for Spring Fling 2012, a similar program that takes place every spring.
