Katrina McCutchen to perform junior flute recital at Evangel University

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. —Katrina McCutchen will perform her junior flute recital at 6 p.m., Thursday, April 12, in the Barnett Fine Arts Recital Hall at Evangel University.

There is no cost for admission, and the public is invited to attend.

The recital will feature the following selections:

  • Concerto in G Major by Johann Joachim Quantz
  • Serenade by Howard Hanson
  • Trois Piéces pour flûte seule by Pierre-Octave Ferroud
  • Crystal by Michael Daugherty

McCutchen will be accompanied by Nate Filippelli, a 2008 graduate of Evangel. He will accompany her on all but one piece, Trois Piéces pour flûte seule by Ferroud.

Dodi Lason, senior music education major, will join her for a flute duet (Crystal by Daugherty).

McCutchen is the daughter of Chuck and Carla McCutchen from Bedford, Texas. She is a music education major, and after graduation, she plans to further her education and teach high school band.
