Evangel University to host first EU Visit on Friday, Sept. 21

Published on Sep 19, 2012 by Jennifer Hall

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Evangel University’s Department of Undergraduate Admissions will host the university’s first EU Visit for the school year on Friday, Sept. 21.

“Formerly known as ‘EU24,’ EU Visits have proven themselves very effective in piquing potential students’ interest and giving them a better picture of what student life is like at Evangel,” said Julie Lyons, director of undergraduate admissions. “The opportunity to experience dorm life, campus activities and social connections often helps potential students make final decisions as to whether they will apply and/or attend.”

“We had a record number of visitors last year,” Lyons continued. “With a campus visit being the number two reason students decide to apply to EU, we expect this record number of visitors to lead to an increase in enrollment over the course of the next two years.”

The schedule for this event is as follows:

  • 8:30 a.m.— Welcome
  • 9 a.m.— Campus tour
  • 10 a.m.— Chapel service
  • 11 a.m.— Classroom visit/parent panel
  • 12 noon— Lunch
  • 1 p.m.— Department visit/admissions session
  • 2 p.m.— Department visit/admissions session
  • 3 p.m.— Closing
