Evangel University Gallery to host watercolor artist

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Evangel University’s Art Gallery will display the work of watercolor artist Linda Hoover Oct. 5-31. An opening reception will be held on Oct. 5, 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Both the reception and the exhibit are open to the public.

The Evangel University Art Gallery is located on the first floor of the Barnett Fine Arts Center. It is open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.

Watercolor and acrylic paintings will be showcased. There will be approximately 20 pieces featuring various themes, and the art will be for sale during the exhibit.

“We chose to exhibit Linda’s work based on the quality of the work and that it would also be a learning tool for our art majors and the EU community,” said Stan Maples, professor of art.
