Kyrie Miles to perform senior flute recital at Evangel University

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. Kyrie Miles will perform her senior flute recital at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 15, in the Barnett Fine Arts Recital Hall at Evangel University.

There is no cost for admission, and the public is invited to attend.

The recital will feature the following selections:

  • Andante in C, by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
  • La Flute de Pan, by Jules Moquet
  • Sonata for two Flutes and Continuo, by Georg Philipp Telemann
  • Flute Music Is…, by Jodi Hitzhusen
  • The Sky Above the Roof, by Ralph Vaughan Williams
  • It is Well with My Soul, by Philip Bliss and arranged by Autumn Bennett, Evangel senior

Accompaniment will be provided by Dr. Linda Ligate, piano professor at Evangel University.

Miles is the daughter of William and Kathleen Miles. She is from Ava, Mo.

Miles will graduate with a bachelor’s degree in music education, dual certification in flute and voice. Following graduation she hopes to teach high school band or choir while pursuing a master’s degree in music.
