SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Evangel University will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Klaude Kendrick Library with a come-and-go reception this Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, from 1-4 p.m. with refreshments and prize drawings.

The Klaude Kendrick Library was the first permanent building on Evangel’s campus. It was dedicated at homecoming, Feb. 22, 1963.

The event is free and open to the public. A timeline of the library will be displayed  along with special artifacts from the library from the past 50 years.

Dale Jensen, library director, said the library is a vital part of the campus, and students are very important to the life of the library.

“The faculty and staff of the Evangel University Library strive to provide world-class informational resources and top quality service to our patrons — whether that is our own students, staff, and faculty or academic researchers beyond our campus,” Jensen said.

For additional information, contact Dale Jensen at (417) 865-2815, ext. 7267.
