SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Evangel University anticipates the arrival of more than 500 freshman and transfer students on campus when residence halls open at 8 a.m. Friday, Aug. 23, 2013. Classes begin Wednesday, Aug. 28.

New students are coming from 45 states and numerous foreign countries including Bolivia, Spain, Hungary, Congo, Kenya, Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, China and Sri Lanka, as well as our neighbors Mexico, Canada and Bahamas.

“EU Launch is the student orientation program designed to welcome students and parents as they arrive on campus,” said Dr. Sheri Phillips, vice president for student development. “The activities and events are designed to connect new students with faculty, staff and other students and prepare them for success in their academic, spiritual and social development.”

Evangel University will welcome transitioning Central Bible College (CBC) students this year.

“We invite and encourage transitioning CBC students to participate in all EU Launch events,” said Christy Rowden, student activities director at Evangel. “We hope to make them feel integrated and at home just like all the other students who are new to the campus.”
