SPRINGFIELD, Mo. –– The Evangel University Jazz Orchestra will perform a Christmas concert featuring jazz vocalist Kate Jones on Tuesday, Dec. 10, at 7:30 p.m. The concert will take place in the Barnett Recital Hall.
This event is open to the public, and there is no cost for admission.
Jones is a former student of Joel Griffin, the jazz orchestra director. She has made a name for herself by performing in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.
“Kate is a true jazz singer,” Griffin said. “It’s a rare opportunity to hear real jazz, with a real jazz vocalist, in Springfield.”
