Evangel senior Shelby Weir to perform voice recital on Friday, March 14

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel University music major Shelby Weir will perform her senior voice recital on Friday, March 14, at 7:30 p.m. in the Barnett Recital Hall. The public is invited to attend, and there is no cost for admission.

Carol Wilson, a Springfield pianist, will accompany Weir. She will also be accompanied on the flute by Emily Engebretson and on the cello by for The Soft Complaining Flute.

“Ever since I became a music major, I felt a sense of belonging and peace in the music department,” said Weir, who is specializing in church music. “This has only confirmed my decision that I am pursuing the right major for me.”

After graduation, Weir plans to become a music pastor.

Weir is the daughter of William and Lisa Weir of Nixa, Mo.
