EU exhibits local artist Judith Fowler

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Evangel University art department is displaying several large works from local artist Judith Fowler in the Barnett Fine Arts Gallery.

The show opens on Friday, Feb. 13 from 6:30-8:30 p.m., and will run through the end of the month.

The exhibit is free and open to the public. It consists of seven oil paintings, four egg tempera paintings, and six large charcoal drawings.

Fowler is a certified art therapist. She holds the title professor emeritus of art and art education, and formerly served as the head of the art education department at Missouri State University.

Evangel University’s art gallery is located in the Barnett Fine Arts Building, facing Glenstone Ave., just south of the Robert. H. Spence Chapel.

Evangel University offers degrees in art, fine arts (studio track), fine arts (graphic design) and art education.
