SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – “We for Thee Art Show” is a one-night showcase to benefit the Lost & Found Grief Center on Thursday, April 16, from 7-9 p.m.

Admission is free and the show will be held at 425 Downtown, an event venue at 425 W. Walnut Street.

“We for Thee Art Show” will feature five artists from the surrounding area displaying a wide variety of art. All artwork will be for sale, and donations to the Lost & Found Grief Center are encouraged, but not required.

The event is the senior capstone project for Hannah Arnzen, a digital arts major at Evangel University. She is also a graduate of Kickapoo High School.

“The premise of the show is ‘local artists using their gifts to empower others,’” said Arnzen.

The goal is to raise $2,000 for the Lost & Found Grief Center, which provides grief support to individuals and families from Springfield and the surrounding counties.

Light refreshments and live music will be provided, and the first 100 attendees will receive giveaway bags filled with gift cards, coupons and more from businesses around Springfield.

“It’s exciting to see Hannah end her college career by putting all that she has learned in the communication department into helping support a non-profit organization in our community,” said Dr. Mark Kelton, professor of communication at Evangel.

LOST & FOUND

“We are so grateful for creative individuals in our community who work to support Lost & Found,” said Nannette Thomas, Lost & Found’s program and resource coordinator.

“It costs approximately $1,000 per year for a child to receive grief support services at Lost & Found. Due to the generosity of others, we are able to provide these important services at no charge to the families,” she said.

Lost & Found works with the bereaved to provide education and support as they travel their journey of grief to find peace, hope, and a new normal as they face life without their deceased loved one.
