Department of Science and Technology — 2015 graduation awards

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Evangel University Department of Science and Technology has announced its graduation awards for 2015.

The awards were given during the baccalaureate service on Thursday, April 30, in the Robert H. Spence Chapel auditorium.

The following awards were presented:

Outstanding Graduate in Science and Technology — Kalynn Miller from Ava, Mo.

Outstanding Graduates in Biology —

  • Chelsie Blevins from Pueblo West, Colo.
  • Chase McKnight from O’Fallon, Mo.

Outstanding Graduate in Biology Education — Gabrielle Hartmann from Ankeny, Iowa

Outstanding Graduate in Biological Chemistry — Emily Mulkey from Ash Grove, Mo.

Outstanding Graduate in Chemistry — Tessa Andrews from York, Neb.

Outstanding Graduate in Computer Information Systems — Yaroslav Klyonov from San Leandro, Calif.

Outstanding Graduate in Environmental Science — Leah Eltiste from Peru, Neb.

Outstanding Graduate in Health Care/Nursing — Victoria Ross from Fallbrook, Calif.

Outstanding Graduate in Math Education — Rebecca Oord from Moses Lake, Wash.

Outstanding Graduate in Pre-Medicine — Taylor Vance from Kansas City, Mo.

A total of 514 degrees were conferred at the 57th annual Commencement Ceremony for Evangel University on Friday, May 1, 2015. This includes 403 bachelor’s degrees, 73 master’s degrees and 38 associate’s degrees, 33 of which are from EU’s James River Leadership Campus.

In addition, the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary at Evangel conferred 77 degrees during its ceremony on Saturday morning, May 2. Of those, 21 were Ph.Ds. and other doctoral degrees.
