Department of Social Sciences — 2015 graduation awards

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Evangel University Department of Social Sciences has announced its graduation awards for 2015.

The awards were given during the baccalaureate service on Thursday, April 30, in the Robert H. Spence Chapel auditorium.

The following awards were presented:

Outstanding Graduate in Government — Ryan Odle from Cherry Valley, Calif.

Outstanding Graduate in History — Morgan Tilley from Amarillo, Texas

Outstanding Graduate in International Studies — Katherine Caswell from Bellville, Ill.

Outstanding Graduate in Legal Studies — Elliot Adams from Fort Wayne, Ind.

Outstanding Graduate in Social Science — Sarah Joppeck from Saline, Mich.

Outstanding Graduate in Social Studies Education — Daine Bean from Springfield, Mo.

The Kendrick-Karmarkovic-Holsinger Award for Outstanding Achievement in Social Science — Ryan Odle

The Jean Martin Award for Outstanding Service to the Social Sciences Department — Ashlee Valle from Ontario, Calif.

A total of 514 degrees were conferred at the 57th annual Commencement Ceremony for Evangel University on Friday, May 1, 2015. This includes 403 bachelor’s degrees, 73 master’s degrees and 38 associate’s degrees, 33 of which are from EU’s James River Leadership Campus.

In addition, the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary at Evangel conferred 77 degrees during its ceremony on Saturday morning, May 2. Of those, 21 were Ph.Ds. and other doctoral degrees.
