SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Five of the 10 Ralph Riggs Scholarship recipients from the Assemblies of God Trust are attending Evangel University this fall, including one of the top two, with a $30,000 scholarship. The other four each received $5,000 scholarships.

The Ralph Riggs Scholarship is named after one of the founding fathers of Evangel University, former AG General Superintendent Ralph M. Riggs, an early advocate for higher education in the Assemblies.

The scholarships are awarded annually by the AGTrust to a select number of high school graduates planning to attend AG colleges and universities.

Recipients are selected based on outstanding academic merit and exemplary community church service, Christian life and personal references.

Since its formation in 2008, AGTrust has awarded 846 scholarships and grants totaling $2.28 million to students attending AG colleges and universities.
