Little Women: The Musical moved to September
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Due to the coronavirus pandemic, all Evangel University campus activities have been canceled for the remainder of the Spring 2020 semester, including the theatre production that was scheduled to open this week.
Little Women: The Musical has been postponed by Evangel’s Humanities Department until the Fall 2020 semester.
Details are still being worked out, but the six performances scheduled for this week (March 26-28) and next (April 2-4) will instead be performed in the fall semester, if campus operations have returned to normal by that time.
With uncertainties about the pandemic in view, Dr. Nathan Nelson, chair of the Humanities Department, explained that all spring patrons may obtain refunds for spring tickets purchased electronically from the ticketing agency, GoFan.
To start the refund process, ticket holders should contact GoFan by email at firstname.lastname@example.org .
“Alternatively, spring patrons may, if they wish, declare that they want their spring ticket money to count as a donation to the Theatre Program at Evangel,” said Nelson.
All patrons who wish to attend a fall performance will be able to purchase tickets again when the new event is posted online and the GoFan box-office window opens.
“Until we have the all-clear to return to campus and normal operations, we must wait to publish performance dates and open the box office,” said Nelson, “We are hoping for a late-September production.”
