SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Evangel University Art Department is having a gallery opening featuring the works of ten seniors on April 10 from 6-10 p.m.

The exhibit will be in the Fine Art & Design Gallery, in the Barnett Fine Arts Building.

Refreshments will be served at the opening. The exhibition will be on display until May 1.

“The senior art class is exceptional this year,” said Stan Maples, professor of art. “Their work is both diverse in media and in subject matter. There will be something in this exhibition that should appeal to anyone.”

Maples said that the senior class presented more than 100 pieces of art for review by the faculty.

“We have a full gamut of art being shown — prints, paintings, drawings, sculpture, graphic design, fibers and photography,” he said.

There are ten seniors in the department who will have their work displayed this month:

• Zane Burgess, Eagle River, Alaska;

• Jasmine Godwin, Moberly, Mo.;

• Lindsay Harrup, Springfield, Mo.;

• Danielle Hartzler, Pawleys Island, S.C.;

• Kathy Kaneta, Tulsa, Okla.;

• Chris Kinney, Cordoba, Argentina;

• Ryan Kowalski, Springfield, Mo.;
