Our Behavioral Health degree program will prepare you to take entry-level positions in organizations that serve the behavioral health needs of children, youth, and adults. Or, continue on to graduate education in Behavioral Health, Counseling, Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, and other related fields.

As part of the Behavioral Health program, you will take courses from a variety of fields related to behavioral health, with a special focus placed on growing knowledge, values and skills important in the field.

You will:

  • Understand and apply behavioral health and human service concepts, including best practices for intervention.
  • Develop basic helping skills for addressing clients’ needs in the behavioral health systems and various levels of intervention.
  • Learn the ethical underpinnings in the fields of behavioral health and human services, including policies and laws governing the provision of behavioral health services and their relationship to biblical teaching.


After graduating with a Behavioral Health degree, you will be prepared to work in government, private, and non-profit settings. Become a case manager, behavioral health technician, or community support worker. Or, choose to work as a family advocate, juvenile officers, with those fighting addictions, or in mental health service.
