Video Blog│A look at igNIGHT and Launch 2014

The Springfield weather may be cooling down, but the school year is just heating up as Evangel’s first week of classes draws to a close.

Several hundred new students arrived on Friday, August 22, 2014 for EU Launch, Evangel’s five-day, new-student orientation. Returning students arrived the following day. The weekend’s events included a worship service on the quad, a service project with Convoy of Hope, an all-Evangel Sunday Chapel service, a Luau on the Lawn, an Instagram photo contest and several more fun activities.

The second annual igNIGHT event brought the first-week festivities to an emphatic conclusion Tuesday, as University president Carol Taylor and other campus leaders shared their vision for the new school year on a campus lawn lit by a ceremonial flame, glow sticks and celebratory fireworks. Classes began the following day.
