Evangel hosts faculty art show through September

Evangel University is currently hosting a faculty art show in the Barnett Art Gallery on campus. The show will continue until Sept. 30, and is open to the public seven days a week, from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Admission is free.

Featured artists include Michael Buesking, associate professor of art; Stan Maples, professor of art; David Bigelow, adjunct faculty; and Mitch Yung, adjunct faculty. The show consists of past and current work from each.

Exhibition includes, among others:

  • “Pictures at an Execution” by Michael Buesking, 13-panel oil-on-board
  • “3 Dog Eyes” by Stan Maples, digital image
  • “Hogwild” by David Bigelow, etching and watercolor
  • A series of minimalist sculptures by Mitch Yung

The gallery is on the first floor of Evangel’s Barnett Fine Arts Center. The entrance to the Fine Arts Center is south of the chapel, facing Glenstone Ave.

Evangel University is a private, Christian university that offers more than 100 undergraduate academic programs and nine master’s programs. Evangel’s enrollment includes more than 2,000 students from all 50 states and abroad.
