SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Evangel University house band, Immanence, will perform in concert on Thursday, Nov. 13, at 7:30 p.m. in the Barnett Recital Hall.

There is no charge for admission, and the public is invited to attend.

The theme of the concert is God and His Creation, based upon the literal meaning of the immanence of God.

“Concert-goers will be able to resonate with the themes in the songs as we reflect on who God is and what He as done for us,” said Jason Salazar, assistant professor of music and Immanence director.

The band will also be debuting a new original song titled Hallelujah.

Immanence tours and represents Evangel University at events across the country.

Members include Evangel students senior Caleb Hawkins, senior Luke Greager, junior Jonathan Chestnut, senior Nick Bearden, junior Zack Mayfield and senior Dylan Nieman.

A 1998 Evangel graduate, Salazar has worked in music in churches in California and Texas. He owns his own music company, Razalas Music, through which he writes, arranges and orchestrates for several national organizations. He has also produced two CDs of arranged music for the Assemblies of God. He has been a member of the music faculty at Evangel University since 2007.
