I currently serve as Professor of Guitar at Evangel University where I work with students to develop their skills as musicians and performers on the guitar. In addition to my role at Evangel, I also teach music and band at Galena Jr./Sr. High School, helping young musicians take their first steps in musical instrumentation.
I am also an active performer in the local music scene playing guitar, steel guitar, and piano, bringing my passion for live music to audiences throughout Southwest Missouri. Outside of my professional work, I also enjoy life on my family’s cattle farm with my wife Allison—also a public school teacher—and our two beautiful daughters, ages five and three.
My hobbies and interests that extend beyond music include RPG videogames, college and NFL football, and Star Wars lore. I also have a growing collection of cacti, succulents, and other rare and unique desert-dwelling plants.
