Serving as an adjunct professor, Matt brings a history and career in closely related fields to his role at the university. As the Senior Director of Field Teams at Convoy of Hope, he’s traveled through more than 75 countries, helping oversee various humanitarian development projects in partnership with local churches in many of them. He’s the grandson of pioneer missionaries, the son of a pastor/writer, and a former youth and young adult minister, who appreciates the intersection of ministry and humanitarian work.
He graduated from Evangel in 1994 with a double major in Biblical Studies and Communications. Later, he earned his Masters in Organizational Leadership from the university.
He’s married to April, the proud father of Parker and Fisher, and is active in his local church. He loves to travel, drink coffee, listen to Johnny Cash, read, and make memories.
