Steve directs the Center for Compassion and leads the Humanitarian Relief and Develop program at Evangel. Before coming to Evangel University, he served in Africa for 19 years with nation. He worked with local churches in education, and development projects, with the final seven years focusing on refugees and pastoral care for the international community.
He has earned Masters in Intercultural Studies from All Nations Theological Seminary (Lilongwe, Malawi) and Asbury Seminary (Kentucky, USA).
Steve is married to Jennifer, and they have one amazing daughter, Leah. Outdoors, good coffee and great books rank among his favorite activities.
