Dodi Lason to perform senior flute recital Friday, March 15

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Dodi Lason, music education major, will perform her senior flute recital at 7:30 p.m., Friday, March 15, in the Barnett Fine Arts Recital Hall at Evangel University.

There is no charge for admission, and the public is invited to attend.

Lason’s performance will include the following pieces:

  • Concerto in C Major, RV 444, by Antonio Vivaldi
  • Waltzing Matilda variations, by John Freeland
  • Caprice No. 24, by Niccolò Paganini
  • Suite for Flute and Piano, by Claude Bolling

Lason will pay the piccolo and bass flute as well as the flute.

James Benecasa (2012 graduate) will provide piano accompaniment along with senior Calvin Wickham on drums and sophomore Nick Bearden on bass.

After graduation she plans to pursue a master’s in performance and education as well as teach private lessons on flute, bassoon and voice. She also plans to work in the public school system as a music educator and be involved in music ministry.

Lason is the daughter of Garry and Linda Lason of Mesa, Ariz.
