SPRINGFIELD, Missouri – The Department of Education at Evangel University has announced its 2024 graduation awards. The awards were presented during the traditional undergraduate baccalaureate service held on Thursday, May 2 in the Robert H. Spence Chapel.
The Education Department prepares the next generation of teachers to compassionately educate students from PreK through 12th grade using the most modern and research-based pedagogy, skills, and strategy. The department is accredited by the MO State Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) and boasts a robust partnership of local school districts for student teaching placements.
Degrees include Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Middle School Education, and Secondary Education.

Evangel University and AGTS celebrated 537 graduates at a joint commencement ceremony at Great Southern Bank Arena (formerly known as JQH Arena) in Springfield on May 2. Graduates earned a total of 32 doctoral, 125 master’s, 329 bachelor’s, and 51 associate’s degrees. Of the graduate degrees, 68 master’s degrees and 16 doctoral degrees were conferred by AGTS.
