A native of Ottumwa, Iowa, Erin is the daughter of Craig and Desirae Payne.

During her years at Evangel, she has masterfully performed as Emily in Our Town, Mrs. Higgins in My Fair Lady, Mrs. Cratchit in A Christmas Carol, and is currently in rehearsals for the part of Amy March in the Spring 2020 production of Little Women.

For the past two years, Erin has also served as the teaching assistant to Dr. Vickie Wisdom, head of the theatre program at Evangel.

Her near-term goal is to work at one of the Sight & Sound Theater locations.

Long-range, she plans to “pursue a master’s degree in theater, so that I can teach at the collegiate level,” she said. “However, if God has bigger plans for me, I’m going to let him take the wheel.”
