SPRINGFIELD, Mo. –– The Evangel Student Veterans Association (ESVA) will host its Veterans Recognition Banquet on Friday, Nov.15. The dinner will begin at 5 p.m. in the Crusader Dining Hall, Room 115.
The recognition banquet is organized by ESVA, a student-run organization focused on serving veterans at Evangel University. Dr. Carol Taylor, president-elect and CEO, will be the guest speaker for the event.
All U.S. military veterans (active duty, reserves and retired) and their spouses among Evangel students, faculty and staff are invited.
“We hope the event will honor the veterans and their spouses who are members of the Evangel family by expressing ESVA’s gratitude for their service to the country and community,” said Sam Hasker, graduate student and ESVA president.
Time will be allowed for individuals to share personal stories during the banquet.
The ESVA began in April 2012. Its goal is to create a community for veterans on campus by fostering camaraderie, ensuring knowledge of eligible benefits, encouraging academic success, providing an outlet for community involvement and fostering awareness of all available resources for members.
