Evangel University to host EU Visit on Friday, Oct. 5

Published on Oct 2, 2012 by Jennifer Hall

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Evangel University’s Department of Undergraduate Admissions will host an EU Visit on Friday, Oct. 5.

“Formerly known as ‘EU24,’ EU Visits have proven themselves very effective in piquing potential students’ interest and giving them a better picture of what student life is like at Evangel,” said Julie Lyons, director of undergraduate admissions.

“The opportunity to experience dorm life, campus activities and social connections often helps potential students make final decisions as to whether they will apply and/or attend.”

Ana Solano, admissions counselor for the West Coast, enjoys meeting prospective students and parents during EU Visit days.

“I believe wholeheartedly in the positive impact that Evangel has on students and their families,” Solano said. “I love when prospective families walk in looking a bit nervous, not knowing what to expect. Then I see them leave our campus with big smiles on their faces!”

The schedule for this event is as follows:

  • 8:30 a.m.— Welcome
  • 9 a.m.— Campus tour
  • 10 a.m.— Chapel service
  • 11 a.m.— Classroom visit/parent panel
  • 12 noon— Lunch
  • 1 p.m.— Department visit/admissions session
  • 2 p.m.— Department visit/admissions session
  • 3 p.m.— Closing
