About the series
The Horton Pentecostal Lectureship Series is an annual lecture series sponsored by Evangel University in honor of Dr. Stanley Horton, a renowned scholar, author and lecturer on the subject of Pentecostalism. He has authored dozens of books and manuals and published more than 250 articles and book reviews.
Horton is a distinguished professor emeritus of Bible and theology at Assemblies of God Theological Seminary.
“The lectureship series was launched at Evangel in 2008 to recognize Dr. Horton’s lifetime accomplishments as an author, professor and the chief intellectual architect/spokesperson for the Pentecostal doctrine for the Assemblies of God,” said Dr. Robert H. Spence, university president.
