Kelsey Boyer to perform senior flute recital at Evangel University

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Kelsey Boyer will perform her senior flute recital at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 9, in the Barnett Fine Arts Recital Hall at Evangel University.

There is no cost for admission, and the public is invited to attend.

The recital will feature the following selections:

  • Be Thou My Vision (Irish Melody), composed by Carol Foss
  • Sonata in A Minor, Movement III. Allegro, composed by C.P.E. Bach
  • Four Pieces for Three Flutes and Piano, composed by Louis Moyse

  • Fantasia para un Gentilhombre, composed by Joaquin Rodrigo

Accompaniment will be provided by Dr. Linda Ligate, piano professor at Evangel University. She also will be assisted by seniors Katrina McCutchen and Dodi Lason, flutes.

Boyer is majoring in music education and will graduate in May 2013 with a bachelor’s degree. After graduation she plans to obtain a job teaching middle school band in Kansas City, Mo.

She is the daughter of Wade and Karen Harper and is a native of Kansas City, Mo.
