4 ways to make some money in college

Let’s face it: when people say college students don’t have a lot of money, they’re probably right.

But, if you’re looking for a few ways to make a couple extra dollars, check out this list of things you can do outside of the classroom to help.

Become a tutor

If you’re a grade-A student, consider sharing your knowledge with your fellow students. It’s easy to find online tutoring sites that will let you set your own rate and availability. No matter what field you excel in, use it to gain some extra cash in your wallet.

Check in with the student worker program here at Evangel, as well. There may be opportunities for you to help pay off some college expenses while currently enrolled.

Get crafty on Etsy

For the super-creatives out there, Etsy is a great place to make money off of your talents.

Price out your crocheted scarves, personalized jewelry and photos printed on huge canvases. Then, post them on Etsy and pocket the money!

There are so many options for you to create individual content that people will pay good money for. So, get out there and create something truly one-of-a-kind and make money doing what you love!

Become friends with local animals

Are you an animal lover? There are tons of ways to make some money while hanging out with animal friends!

One of the most common ways is walking dogs. But, if you’re okay with getting a bit dirty, think of pet grooming. Try reaching out to local pet grooming places to see if they need help. It’s an easy way to make some money while being surrounded by cute animals!

Do odd jobs

One way to make a little extra money is to ask around and see if there are odd jobs that people need help with.
Use your smartphone to help out! There are different apps that will help connect you with people in the area that need help with things like house cleaning, furniture moving and delivering groceries!

Just get out and start asking around. There’s bound to be something that can put some money in your wallet for the next four years!
