At Washburn University, I studied piano with James Rivers and at MSU, I was privileged to study with three esteemed piano professors: Drs. David Belcher, Logan Skelton, and Peter Collins. I gained not only technical skill, but inspiration from their skilled performances. Through their influence I performed a senior piano recital as culmination of my studies.
Upon returning to the States from teaching in the Netherlands, I met my husband Jim in Springfield. Jim was also an educator at Evangel and AGTS and before retirement had a private counseling practice. We now have four grandchildren who we take pleasure in sharing time with them and their families, playing games, taking walks, and watching sports events.
I have great joy in teaching at Evangel, and am rewarded to see the musical growth of students in piano studies and music classes and see them fulfill both the spiritual and musical calling on their lives.
