Evangel University is hosting a Service of Reflection featuring the university’s Chorale. The Chorale will be presenting Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem. The event will take place Thursday, April 2nd at 9:45 am in the Barnett Recital Hall.
The reflection is a time for the community to gather and reflect ahead of the Easter weekend.
“This special gathering offers a meaningful opportunity for reflection and observance in anticipation of the Easter weekend. Through the beauty and serenity of Fauré’s Requiem, we invite you to pause, reflect, and prepare your heart during this sacred season,” said Dr. Tom Matrone, Evangel’s Music Department Chair and Director of Choral Activities.
Evangel’s University Chorale is a 45 member select choir that performs on both the Evangel University campus and in the community. In addition to on-campus performances, the Chorale has regularly performed with the Springfield Symphony Orchestra.
