Evangel students present research findings at annual research symposium

Published on Apr 24, 2026 by Savannah Harrison

SPRINGFIELD, Missouri – Students from Evangel University presented their yearly research findings at the annual research symposium on campus. Students presented over 35 studies in-person, and seven were completed online.

The symposium is an annual opportunity on Evangel’s campus for students across multiple disciplines to present their research findings. Students not only have to complete their research from start to finish, but also have to complete research papers and a poster presentation for the symposium. Students then speak about their project with other students and faculty who attend.

“The annual research symposium gives Evangel students an invaluable opportunity to present their research findings in a professional setting. This event also showcases the academic rigor of our university and allows for cross-disciplinary conversations and learning,” said Dr. Kristen Kansiewicz, chair of the IRB.

Students who participated in the symposium were from a variety of degree paths, including education, psychology, social work, kinesiology, and natural/applied sciences. The event is sponsored and planned by the Institutional Review Board, which oversees all research done by Evangel students and faculty.
