Tell us about your career and what you do now.
I worked in the business world for nine years as a sales management at MCI. I served on staff as youth pastor at James River Church and as the college and young adult pastor at First AG in Ft. Myers. I then served as senior pastor and center director at the St. Louis Dream Center under Joyce Myer Ministries. I am currently serving as the executive pastor at New Life Church in Oak Grove, MO.
What is your favorite memory from Evangel?
When I traveled to China with the Evangel Football team in 1991, I got to play games in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou.
How did Evangel help you identify/develop your calling?
Evangel helped me learn how to integrate what I believe in my faith with how I lived it out in life. EU taught me how to think like a follower of Christ.
How did your experience at Evangel prepare you for life after graduation?
My education was second to none. I started in the business world and was quickly promoted to supervisor and then manager because I was more intellectually prepared.
What advice would you give a current student preparing for the workforce?
Develop your professional network. The relationships and friendships you build now will last a lifetime and will most likely help you down the road.
What would you look for if you were in a position to hire new graduates from Evangel?
I would look for someone with integrity, loyalty, competence, and godliness.
