Tell us about your career and what you do now?
I am an ordained Assemblies of God minister with 31 years of pastoral experience across diverse ecclesiastical roles and 15 years as a theological educator at TCA College, Singapore. Having taught across Asia, I currently serve as Academic Dean of the School of Theology at the college.
Tell us one achievement or accomplishment that stands out in your career!
My travels across the Asian region, teaching in churches and seminaries, reflect a deep commitment to theological education and ministerial formation across diverse cultural and ecclesiastical contexts.
What is your favorite memory from AGTS?
Immediately following my ThM studies, I sought a reputable non-residential PhD program. AGTS’s PhD BTh emerged at the perfect moment. I am deeply grateful to the dedicated administrators and leadership who made this inaugural cohort possible.
How did AGTS help you identify/develop your calling?
The many enriching interactions with professors and doctoral students profoundly broadened my worldview and deepened my understanding of the texts, beyond what I did in my ThM studies.
How did your experience at AGTS prepare you for life after graduation?
While simultaneously teaching at TCA College, my PhD studies proved transformative, reshaping several courses with greater depth and theological clarity — an enrichment my students greatly appreciated. Following graduation, I was privileged to develop and offer a new course directly inspired by my dissertation research.
What advice would you give a current student preparing for the workforce?
Studying theology is a profound calling — a privilege not afforded to many. Embrace this season wholeheartedly, for such opportunities become increasingly rare once work responsibilities take hold. After entering ministry or work, remain committed to lifelong learning: read widely, continue growing, and above all, stay grounded in Scripture while ensuring your ministry remains relevant to the world you serve
What would you look for if you were in a position to hire new graduates from AGTS?
While a strong academic foundation is essential, someone who has served in both pastoral ministry and the working world brings something no textbook can offer — wisdom forged through lived experience.
