Tell us about your career and what you do now.
I’ve been serving the Muslim world as an AGWM missionary for 33 years. My current missionary team equips women in the local church globally for outreach to Muslim women.
Tell us one achievement or accomplishment that stands out in your career!
My missionary team of three has published a children’s curriculum to help kids know how to reach Muslim neighbors, as well as a video-based study course for Christian women to help them share Jesus with Muslim women.
What is your favorite memory from your time as a student?
In Twila Edward’s CS Lewis class during the reading of the “The Last Battle’s” resurrection romp, the Holy Spirit blew into our classroom and surprised us with a spiritual epiphany that was transformational in my walk with Jesus.
How did your school help you identify/develop your calling?
Evangel’s dedicated faculty literally mentored me into my calling. They invited me into their homes and cared for me beyond classroom settings. I came of age at Evangel, with their help and the “All Truth is God’s Truth” foundation that continues to guide and enrich my walk with God and people.
How did your experience as a student prepare you for life after graduation?
It was basic to everything I am still becoming these 40+ years later, in life and in service. I came to Evangel as a virtual foreigner, having grown up on the mission field. Evangel took me in and made sense of everything God had privileged me to do for a present I still can’t believe is mine.
What advice would you give a current student preparing for the workforce?
Know that God purposes to use everything He has vested in you to affirm His great love for you and His desire to make your life part of the story that leads other people to know and follow Jesus.
What would you look for if you were in a position to hire new graduates from Evangel?
Even now I would look for students who appreciate and steward the standard of all truth being God’s truth, to help others discover their purpose in God’s mission to make it known to all people.
