Dr. Shawn Moreland grew up in Muskogee, Oklahoma and moved to Springfield to study and graduate from Central Bible College. After youth pastoring in Oklahoma, he returned to teach Bible and English, lead chapel and coach at local Christian high school, New Covenant Academy. In 2000, he was accepted as a graduate fellowship at Missouri State University and completed his Master of Arts degree in English. In 2002 he continued to teach adjunct at CBC, MSU and OTC. He completed his doctorate at Evangel University at the seminary, where he completed his Doctorate of Ministry, Leadership track.
Dr. Moreland continues his teaching at the Federal Medical Center prison and serves as an adjunct English instructor at Evangel and sponsor/advisor to a campus ministry at OTC, Chi Alpha Campus Life.
He loves sharing an adventurous life with his wife Gia, married 31 years, and son Josiah, a freshman at Evangel U.
