Evangel University student media win state recognitions through MBEA

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Evangel student media recently received awards from the 2012 Missouri Broadcast Educators Association (MBEA) state competition.

 The contest recognizes excellent student media produced during 2011. Professional media members serve as contest judges.

 Evangel’s television station, ECTV, received the following MBEA awards:

  • Best Television Sports, First Place, Sports Update (Fall 2011). Producer for fall 2011 was Robert Kidd, sophomore broadcasting major, and director was Robert Martin, senior broadcasting major.
  • Best Television Sports, Honorable Mention, Sports Update (Spring 2011). Producer for spring 2011 was Justin Dougherty, senior broadcasting major.

 Dr. Cameron Pace, professor of communication, is the faculty adviser.

 MBEA is the educational arm of the Missouri Broadcaster’s Association.
