Aaron Parrales to present senior French horn recital on March 18

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel University senior Aaron Parrales will perform his French horn recital on March 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the Barnett Recital Hall.

Parrales, a music education major, is from Houston, Texas and is the son of Arnold and Zulema Parrales. During the recital, he will be accompanied on the piano by Desiree Bonitz, Evangel graduate.

The recital will close with a brass quintet composed of Parrales along with Evangel students Michael Borders, Kolby Sowell, Desy Harmon, and Matt Moore, director of bands for Evangel.

Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.

The music education program at Evangel prepares students to teach music at K-12 levels in public and private schools. Teaching certification is granted by the Missouri State Department of Education. This curriculum also meets the approval of the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education.

The Department of Music has been accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM) since 1970.
